ALCOTEX™ WD100 by Synthomer is an aqueous solution of 43% hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH / PVA) grade. It contains random distribution of acetate groups. It is developed specifically as secondary suspending agent for vinyl chloride suspension polymerization. It can infinitely be dilutable in water, and with an extremely low methanol content, ALCOTEX™ WD100 offers increased PVC grade porosity and reduced levels of gels or ‘fish eyes’. It is compatible with various conventional primary suspending agents, improving porosity and bulk density relationship to facilitate both monomer removal and plasticizer uptake.
