ALCOTEX 552P by Synthomer is an aqueous solution of 55% hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH / PVA) grade with low residual methanol content. Contains random distribution of acetate groups. Developed as a porosity enhancement agent for PVC suspension polymerization. ALCOTEX 552P can be used in conjunction with conventional primary suspending agents, improving porosity and bulk density relationship to facilitate both monomer removal and plasticizer uptake.
