ALCOTEX 45 by Synthomer is a 45% hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH / PVA) grade, supplied as low viscosity solution in water and isopropyl alcohol solution. Contains random distribution of acetate groups. Is specifically developed as secondary suspending agent for vinyl chloride suspension polymerization. ALCOTEX 45 can be used in conjunction with conventional primary suspending agents, improving porosity and bulk density relationship to facilitate both monomer removal and plasticizer uptake.
