SUMIKASUPER LCP SZ6506HF by Sumitomo Chemical is a self-extinguishing thermotropic liquid crystalline polyester (LCP) grade reinforced with inorganic filler. It does not contain flame retardants. It shows high reflectivity, high mechanical strength and good characteristics in moisture reflows. It exhibits high heat resistance, high strength, high rigidity, increased light transmittance, high heat aging resistance, low viscosity, high moldability, low shrinkage and low coefficient of linear expansion (flow direction). It offers a high-speed setting with less flash production, high anisotropy, low weld strength, rapid solidification speed, low water absorbency, highest limiting oxygen index and high thermal stability. It provides outstanding chemical resistance, hot water resistance, low amount of gas generation on heating, no warpage, bondability with off-the-shelf adhesives and no surface treatment. It shows high temperature and high shear rate dependence on apparent melt viscosity. It does not expand or deteriorate when exposed to oils, even at high temperatures. It is welded with ultrasonic welding and applicable to lead-free soldering (dipping). It is suitable for processing by injection molding. SUMIKASUPER LCP SZ6506HF is designed for the power LED device applications.
