PLYOPHEN® 23900 by Sumitomo Bakelite is a liquid one-step phenolic resin soluble in ethanol. It is a high heat resistant, low- or high-pressure laminating varnish. It can be reinforced with glass cloth or glass filaments. Provides exceptionally high strength at elevated temperatures. Laminates produced with it exhibits low moisture absorption, high physical properties at elevated temperatures. PLYOPHEN® 23900 also shows good resistance to organic solvents, weak inorganic acids, hydraulic aircraft oil or de-icing fluids, rain and hot gas erosion.
