Styropek® BF 495

Styropek® BF 495 by Styropek is a 100% recyclable, auto-extinguishable, flame retardant modified expandable polystyrene (EPS) grade. Offers excellent fusion and surface appearance. Contains medium pentane content (average of 6%) as an expanding agent and do not contain chlorofluorocarbons and hydrofluorocarbons compounds. Compatible with many anti-static additives, mineral oil, color additives and other additives added during processing. Available as white-colored spherical beads with high densities and thickness of wall >6 cm. Is insoluble in water and of pentane odor. Styropek® BF 495 is suitable for processing by foaming. Recommended for block molding applications, shape molding applications for machines without vacuum system and excellent cycle time. Can also be used in a wide variety of applications including blocks for construction, panels, ICF´s (insulated concrete forms), thin walled custom molding, lost foam, thermal & acoustical insulation and general packaging. It complies with UL 94 HF-1 flame rating (UL listing UL R38219), ICC-ES, FM, GREENGUARD, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive) regulations.
