PW 66 by Polytechs is a concentrate of polyisobutylene of an average molecular weight of 1250 in linear low density polyethylene. It is used as a cling agent. It is designed to produce stretch film from LLDPE, LDPE or other polyolefins for the applications of palletwrap, silagewrap and foodwrap. It can be used in both blown or cast film process. Migration time for good cling properties is 24-72 hours. For monolayer blown films 7% PW 66 by weight should be added to LLDPE (or resin mix) and 3% for monolayer cast films. PW 66 complies with FDA 21 CFR 117.1430 for use in contact with food and also meets the requirements of EC Directive 90/128/EEC. It has a shelf life of minimum 9 months.
