PLASTRON® LFT PP-GF50-01

PLASTRON® LFT PP-GF50-01 by Polyplastics is a polypropylene block copolymer reinforced with 50% long glass fiber. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. It helps in reducing weight in industrial pump housings and joint parts for civil engineering pipes to various functional parts and structural members of automobiles and motorcycles. It is used in bicycles, pump housings, underground pipe fittings, baitcasting reels, fans and pneumatic tool bodies. It offers mechanical strength, dimensional stability, sliding and wear. It exhibits high elasticity retention at high temperatures and superior impact retention at low temperatures. It provides low warpage, high impact resistance and superior creep properties. PLASTRON® LFT PP-GF50-01 offers high rigidity and impact strength which is hard to achieve with conventional fiber-reinforced plastics, allowing the use of thermoplastic resins instead of metals and fiber-reinforced plastics (FRPs). The reinforced glass fibers of same length are incorporated in the same direction in the resin pellet.
