OPaLene P4402 by ONGC Petro additions is a high density polyethylene (HDPE) grade. Is a very hard grade, exhibiting abrasion resistance, excellent environmental stress-cracking resistance (ESCR) and good processability. Provides higher temperature resistance, low coefficient of friction and superior water vapor barrier properties. Possesses low degree of branching, hence stronger intermolecular forces. Designed for pipe extrusion method by slurry process. OPaLene P4402 is recommended for pipe coating, steel pipe lining and submarine cables.
