Ingeo™ Biopolymer 8052D by NatureWorks is polylactic acid (PLA). It is a thermoplastic resin derived from annually renewable resources.
  • It can be converted into an expanded foam sheet with use temperatures up to 77°F (25°C).
  • It is a lightweight and strong grade and is suitable for packaging fresh meat and vegetables.
  • It is insoluble in water and can be processed by injection molding and extrusion.
  • Ingeo™ Biopolymer 8052D must be modified with a branching agent such as Joncryl® 4368C.
