Ingeo™ Biopolymer 6100D

Supplied byNatureWorks- Last Updated on Sep 1, 2022

Ingeo™ Biopolymer 6100D by NatureWorks is polylactic acid (PLA) thermoplastic fiber-grade derived primarily from annually renewable resources. It is designed for extrusion into mechanically drawn staple fibers or continuous filament, using conventional fiber spinning and drawing equipment.
  • It is typically well suited for fiber processes where lower fiber shrinkage and higher dimensional stability is required.
  • It may be used in food packaging materials.
  • Potential applications include staple fiber, agricultural woven and nonwoven fabrics, household disposal, textiles, continuous filament-textured, flat yarns and spunbonded fabrics.
  • Ingeo™ Biopolymer 6100D can be converted into a broad range of fiber products.
  • It is insoluble in water and FDA approved.
