LUBMER™ L4420

Supplied byMitsui Chemicals- Last Updated on Nov 5, 2019

LUBMER™ L4420 is a noiseless, halogen- and PFOA- free ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade by Mitsui Chemicals. It contributes to increased production efficiency and total cost reduction in a co-extrusion process. It is a self-lubricating and food contact acceptable grade with low water absorption. Provides good moldability, good dimensional stability and electrical insulating properties, high mechanical properties and innovative processability. Applicable materials for modified LUBMER™ include PA6, PA66, Aromatic PA, POM, PBT, PET, PC, ABS and PPS. Exhibits low friction and good resistance to wear and chemicals including alcohols, alkalis, oils, hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric and phosphoric acid. LUBMER™ L4420 is designed for processing by injection molding, extrusion or insert mold for grease-less, light weight gears and bearings. It effectively improves sliding property in low dosage, better than PTFE or molybdenum disulfide. It also improves abrasion resistance for higher durability and robust material. Complies with UL 94 HB Flame Rating. LUBMER™ L4420 can be used for the replacement for PTFE or as a tribology modifier of engineering plastics.
