APEL™ APL5014CL by Mitsui Chemicals is an amorphous, transparent and high density cyclo olefin copolymer (COC) developed using Ziegler polymerization technology. It exhibits good heat resistance, good fluidity, high refractive index and low birefringence. It possesses outstanding processability, good gas barrier properties, excellent chemical resistance, high transparency, high stiffness, low moisture absorption and incinerability. It also offers good dimensional stability, excellent moldability and very good optical properties. APEL™ APL5014CL is designed for processing by injection molding. It is recommended for optical applications such as image sensor lens.
