Lucite® Diakon® LG156 by Lucite is a clear, odorless and Bisphenol-A free Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) grade. Provides excellent melt flow, good rigidity, good UV resistance, surface gloss, high purity and high light and UV transmission. Shows high surface hardness and scratch resistance, similar to aluminium. Possesses good dimensional stability, low water absorption and is easy to recycle. Exhibits good abrasion resistance, high optical quality, excellent weatherability and processability. It is resistant at temperatures up to 60°C to dilute acids and most alkali solutions and at room temperature, to aqueous solutions of inorganic salts, aliphatic hydrocarbons, fats and oils and most of the common gases. Processed by injection molding. Recommended for production of high purity thin-wall moldings having large area and long flow length such as medical diagnostic devices. Lucite® Diakon® LG156 is also used for applications such as viscosity modification, composites, adhesives, coatings and ceramics.
