UTEC® 6541 by Braskem is a self-lubricating, almost inert, best cost/performance (without additives) ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade present in powder form. It possesses molecular weight about 10 times higher than high density polyethylene (HDPE) resins. It exhibits excellent mechanical properties such as high abrasion wear resistance, high impact strength, chemical resistance and low coefficient of friction. It can be processed using RAM extrusion, compression molding and calendaring. UTEC® 6541 is suitable for several high performance applications in most corrosive or aggressive environments at moderate temperatures. Excellent material for sliding applications. Applications include battery separators for automotive industry, machined parts, sports & leisure and textile industry.
