Casico™ FR6082 by Borealis is an odorless, reduced fire hazard, zero halogen, flame retardant, polyethylene (PE) compound. It contains 2.5% well dispersed furnace black to ensure excellent weathering resistance. It exhibits excellent processing, system aging compatibility, low water permeability and UV resistance. It is designed for processing by PVC/PE extrusion. It shows high toughness, mechanical strength, cable downsizing and reduced toxic or corrosive gas emissions. It is recommended for jacketing for energy cables. Casico™ FR6082 complies with EC Regulation 1907/2006, WEEE, RoHS, REACH and passes single wire vertical burning tests.
