Borstar® ME6052 by Borealis is an odorless, bimodal, medium density polyethylene (MDPE) compound with 2.5% well-dispersed carbon black. It provides excellent surface finish, reduced shrinkage, high processability, excellent toughness and environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR). It is designed for processing by extrusion method. It shows excellent abrasion-, scratch-, UV- and petroleum-jelly resistance. It exhibits excellent weathering resistance, good surface hardness, low water permeability and superior heat deformation. Borstar® ME6052 is used in fiber optics, jacketing of energy and communication cables. It complies with EC Regulation 1907/2006, REACH, RoHS and WEEE.
