Borstar® LE8706 by Borealis is an odorless, colorable bimodal, linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) compound. It is designed for processing by extrusion method. It provides high processability, reduced shrinkage, excellent toughness and environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR). It shows excellent abrasion-, UV- and petroleum-jelly resistance. It exhibits excellent weathering resistance, low coefficient of friction, low water permeability and low heat deformation. Borstar® LE8706 is used in fiber optics, jacketing of energy and communication cables. It complies with EC Regulation No (1935/2004, 2023/2006 and 1907/2006), REACH, RoHS and WEEE.
