Neopor® F 5300

Neopor® F 5300 by BASF is a firm, flame retardant, expandable polystyrene (EPS) block molding grade characterized by gray color, reinforced with 5.3% pentane content. Exhibits good processability, low close density distribution, water-repellent, resistant to aging- and decay. Offers low insulation performance, excellent versatility, high eco- and cost-efficiency. Designed for processing by extrusion, foams in three steps- pre-expansion, intermediate storage and expansion stages. During the pre-expansion stage, the compact raw material is transformed into closed-cell foam which is characterized by low energy consumption and short cycle times. After an appropriate intermediate storage time, EPS is expanded in conventional block molds to make foams. Typical applications of Neopor® F 5300 includes interior-, attic-, ceiling-, steep roof- and exterior insulation (ETICS).
