Neopor® F 5200 Plus

Neopor® F 5200 Plus by BASF is a firm, flame retardant, expandable polystyrene (EPS) block grade characterized by gray color, reinforced with a loose filling and 5.6% pentane content. Exhibits good processability, low close density distribution, water-repellent, resistant to aging- and decay. Offers optimized insulation performance, excellent versatility, high eco- and cost-efficiency. Designed for processing by extrusion, foams in three steps- pre-expansion, intermediate storage and expansion stages. During the pre-expansion stage, the compact raw material is transformed into closed-cell foam which is characterized by low energy consumption and short cycle times. After an appropriate intermediate storage time, EPS is expanded in conventional block molds to make foams. Typical applications of Neopor® F 5200 Plus includes exterior insulation (ETICS, hanging facade) and cavity wall insulation. Shelf life of this grade is 3 months.
