Neopor® F 4 speed

Neopor® F 4 speed by BASF is a firm, flame retardant, expandable polystyrene (EPS) block molding grade characterized by silver gray color. It is reinforced with 5.3% pentane content and it is produced by polymerization. Exhibits good processability, low close density distribution, water-repellent, resistant to aging- and decay. Offers good thermal insulation performance, excellent versatility, high eco- and cost-efficiency. Designed for processing by foams in three steps- pre-expansion, intermediate storage and expansion stages. During the pre-expansion stage, the compact raw material is transformed into closed-cell foam which is characterized by low energy consumption and short cycle times. After an appropriate intermediate storage time, EPS is expanded in conventional block molds to make foams. Typical applications of Neopor® F 4 speed include flat roof insulation and insulating concrete forms (ICF).
