Neopor® F 2200

Neopor® F 2200 by BASF is a firm, flame-retarded, expandable polystyrene (EPS) grade reinforced with loose filling and 5.3% pentane content. It is produced by polymerization. Exhibits good processability, low density, resistance to water-, aging and decay. Offers good thermal insulation, excellent versatility, high eco- and cost-efficiency. Designed for processing by foams in pre-expansion, intermediate storage and expansion stages. During the pre-expansion stage, the compact raw material is transformed into closed-cell foam which is characterized by low energy consumption and short cycle times. After an appropriate intermediate storage time, EPS is expanded in conventional block molds to make foams. Typical applications of Neopor® F 2200 include exterior insulation (ETICS) and cavity wall insulation.
