PALATAL® P 4 TV-128 by AOC is a medium reactivity, low viscosity, unsaturated polyester resin. It is based on orthophthalic acid and standard glycols, dissolved in styrene. It can be cured with 1 ml MEKP-HA 2 (Peroxid Chemie GmbH) and 0.2 ml Co-octoate solution (1 % Co in styrene) added to 100 g resin. It is a preaccelerated grade and contains thixotropic agent. Suitable for processing by hand lay-up and spray up. Designed for the production of thick laminates (>5mm), marine applications and parts which require curing with minimum heat generation. Unreinforced PALATAL® P 4 TV-128 conforms to DIN 16946/2 type 1120, DIN 18820/1 group 0, DNV and LLOYDS approval.
