Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) for Plastic Parts

BACTOSTAT® TPE TE-637K by DragonChem is an engineering TPE with bacteria-repellent feature up to 99.999%.

• It is suitable for food-contact applications without leaching of biocides, nanoparticles and heavy metals.
• It shows good adhesion to PP and PE.
• BACTOSTAT® TPE TE-637K is recommended for household articles, valves, closures, seals, translucent soft articles and toys.

Dryflex® PIR 853317-2 TPE by HEXPOL COMPOUNDING is a thermoplastic elastomer with 45% recyclate content from post-industrial and post-consumer sources. It showed 43% reduction in carbondioxide emission per kg TPE compared to the equivalent virgin TPE material. It meets regulatory and testing requirements of Porsche PN 780 for VOC and odor rating. It is used in automotive interior components.

THERMOLAST® K TF8PCM-LCNT by Kraiburg is a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) developed for food contact applications. It demonstrates high elasticity, soft touch surface and improved organoleptic properties. It shows adhesion to various polar thermoplastics including Tritan (PCT-G), PET, SAN, PC, ABS, PA6, and PA12.

• It is free from animal ingredients and has an extremely low migration potential and possibility of in-process recycling.
• It is suitable for processing by injection molding and extrusion.
• It is used in reusable food packaging, cosmetic applications, household articles, hoses and conveyor belts in food processing.
• It meets the requirements of the two most important regulations for food contact materials: European Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 and Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR 177.2600) of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
• It has a shelf life of 24 months.

THERMOLAST® K TF7PCM-NTRL by Kraiburg is a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) developed for food contact applications. It demonstrates high elasticity, soft touch surface and improved organoleptic properties. It shows adhesion to various polar thermoplastics including Tritan (PCT-G), PET, SAN, PC, ABS, PA6, and PA12.

Maxelast® C4907 by Nantong Polymax Elastomer Technology is a PVC-, silicone-, & latex free, transparent thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) grade. Exhibits excellent clarity, superior colorability, gel-like properties and ultra-soft & cushioning comfort. Maxelast® C4907 is suitable for processing by overmolding on to polypropylene. Recommended for consumer products, toys & novelties, auto parts, plastic toughening, sporting goods, wire & cable electronics and medical devices. Complies with UL, VDE, FDA, RoHS and PAH regulations.

Medalist® MD-10308 by Teknor Apex is a clear, phthalates free thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) grade. Provides good elasticity, durability, resilience and tactile qualities of latex without concerns regarding allergic reactions, odor or residual curing agent. Exhibits good haptics (tactile qualities) and draping behavior. Is suitable for processing by injection molding, extrusion and cast film. Recommended for medical applications such as dental dams. Medalist® MD-10308 is made with FDA-compliant ingredients and complies with ISO 10993-5 & REACH SVHC.

3213 by Cheng Yu Plastic is a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) grade. Exhibits weather resistance and allows overmolding of products requiring a soft touch of varied hardness. 3213 is suitable for processing by double injection molding. Used in sporting equipment, toys, grips of handles, soft casing, shoes, and anti-slip products. Can also be used to replace certain PVC applications. Complies with UL 94 HB flame rating.

Medalist® MD-12382 by Teknor Apex is a low density, kink resistant, unfilled, high performance thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) grade. It is autoclave and ethylene oxide sterilizable and exhibits good moldability & processability. It possesses high purity, medium hardness and radiation (gamma) resistance. It can be processed using injection molding and extrusion. Medalist® MD-12382 by Teknor Apex is suitable for tubing, pharmaceuticals, medical and healthcare applications. It is ROHS compliant with agency ratings ISO 10993 Part 5 and ISO 13485.

3200 by Cheng Yu Plastic is a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) grade. Exhibits weather resistance and allows overmolding onto materials such as ABS, PP, HIPS, and PBT. 3200 complies with the UL 94 HB flame rating.

Medalist® MD-16150G by Teknor Apex is a high-performance, soft, tack-free, halogen-free, resilient thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) grade. It exhibits excellent chemical resistance, high elongation, low density, high flexibility, low hardness and high flow. It possesses good colorability, moldability, processability and toughness. This grade is ethylene oxide sterilized and can be processed by injection molding. Medalist® MD-16150G by Teknor Apex is suitable for disposable hospital goods, medical devices, rubber replacement, surgical instruments and soft touch applications. It is RoHS compliant with agency ratings ISO 10993 Part 5 and ISO 13485.
