Polyurethane Rubbers (PUR) for Plastic Parts

Simpact® 60A by Smooth-On is a low odor, tough, fast setting polyurethane elastomer grade. It is a phthalate free, mercury free and MOCA free resin. It is a mixed 1A:1B solution by volume and can be poured easily. Offers very high tear strength, good impact and wear resistance. It can be colored with SO-Strong® or Ignite® colorants. It has a working time of 4 minutes, 2 hours handling time and full cure time of 48 hours at room temperature. Simpact® 60A is suitable for prototypes and display pieces. Cured rubber exhibits exceptional performance characteristics and dimensional stability.

Simpact® 85A by Smooth-On is a tough, low odor, fast setting polyurethane elastomer grade. It is a phthalate free, mercury free and MOCA free resin. It is a mixed 85A:100B solution by weight and can be poured easily. Offers very high tear strength, good impact and wear resistance. It can be colored with SO-Strong® or Ignite® colorants. Simpact® 85A by Smooth-On is suitable for prototypes and display pieces. Cured rubber exhibits exceptional performance characteristics and dimensional stability.

PMC™ -746 by Smooth-On is a highly rigid, polyurethane rubber. Offers good durability and moisture resistance. Suitable for use in zoos and museums for a variety of mold-making, display and exhibit applications. Designed for large case molds for casting gypsum plasters. Recommended for plaster block molds, reproducing ornamental plaster (architectural restoration), pre-cast concrete molds, casting waxes, special effects for movies and theatres. PMC™ -746 is mixed 2A:1B solution by weight or volume.

PMC™ 724 by Smooth-On is a low viscosity polyurethane rubber. Exhibits easy pouring & curing at room temperature and negligible shrinkage. It can be colored by adding SO-Strong® urethane colorants. Applications include reproducing sculpture (lost wax process), creating special effects, making fiberglass panel & part molds, on-site architectural restoration and new construction molds. PMC™ 724 is mixed 10A:100B solution by weight.

PMC™ -780 by Smooth-On is a premium performance, industrial liquid urethane rubber. Exhibits easy pouring & curing at room temperature and negligible shrinkage. Offers exceptional strength, good durability and abrasion resistance. It is available in dry and wet form. PMC™ -780 Dry does not exude oil. PMC-780 Wet contains a built in release agent to aid in demolding concrete and has a higher net shrinkage value than dry rubber. Recommended for casting abrasive materials such as concrete including pre-cast concrete & concrete stamping pads and gypsum plasters with high exotherms. Also used to make rubber mechanical parts in gaskets, wheels & pullies, ball mill liners and vibration/ shock pads. PMC™ -780 is mixed 2A:1B solution by weight or volume.

PMC™ -121/50 by Smooth-On is a wet, long lasting, durable polyurethane rubber. Exhibits exceptional strength and good abrasion resistance. It has a higher net shrinkage value than dry rubber. It exudes oil that aids in demolding hard plasters and concrete. Recommended for molds to reproduce sculpture and architectural elements & for making special effects, toys and prototypes. Also used in the reproduction of ornamental plaster, precast concrete and ceramic case molds. PMC™ -121/50 is mixed 1:1 solution by weight or volume.

PMC™ -744 by Smooth-On is a low viscosity, polyurethane rubber. Offers good strength, durability and dimensional stability. Designed for ceramic case molds, plaster block molds, reproducing ornamental plaster, making molds for casting concrete and wax for making candles & mechanical rubber parts. Recommended for casting plaster, concrete and resins. PMC™ -744 is mixed 2A:1B solution by weight or volume.

PMC™ 121/30 by Smooth-On is a soft, wet polyurethane rubber. Exhibits exceptional strength and good abrasion resistance. It has a higher net shrinkage value than dry rubber. It exudes oil that aids in demolding hard plasters and concrete. Recommended for molds for sculpture and architectural elements and for making special effects, toys & prototypes, casting waxes, liquid plastics and gypsum plaster. PMC™ 121/30 is mixed 1:1 solution by weight or volume.

PMC™ -790 by Smooth-On is a very hard polyurethane rubber. Offers superior tear & tensile strength, good impact and abrasion resistance. It can be easily cured at room temperature. Suitable for making ball mill liners, industrial rollers & belts, rubber mechanical parts and bonding itself or other substrates to metal. Recommended for industrial production applications including making concrete stamping pads, mold liners and molds for casting concrete. PMC™ -790 is mixed 2A:1B solution by weight or volume.

PMC™ -770 by Smooth-On is a polyurethane rubber. Offers exceptional performance and dimensional stability. It can be easily cured at room temperature. Suitable for casting of abrasive materials such as concrete including pre-cast concrete & stamping pads and gypsum plasters with high exotherms. Designed for use in rubber mechanical parts of gaskets, wheels, pullies, ball mill liners and vibration/shock pads. Recommended for industrial and casting applications. PMC™ -770 is mixed 2A:1B solution by weight or volume.
