Phenolic / Phenol Formaldehyde (P / PF) Resin for Plastic Parts

Quantum AMC® 2593 by LyondellBasell is a phenolic sheet molding compound reinforced with 3K PAN carbon fiber. It offers fatigue resistance, high stiffness and high strength. It can be molded at temperatures in the range of 260-320°F, with 300°F suggested as a starting point. The cure time will depend on molding temperature and part thickness. Quantum AMC® 2593 has a shelf life of 6 months.

Bakelite® PF 1141 by Bakelite Synthetics is phenolic grade reinforced with glass fiber, organic and inorganic filler. This grade exhibits resistance to high temperature, heat, hot steam and hot water.

• It offers high surface quality molding and dishwasher proof.
• It is processed by compression- and injection molding.
• Bakelite® PF 1141 is recommended in fittings for ovens, dishwashers and cookware applications.

Bakelite® PF 2137 by Bakelite Synthetics is phenolic grade reinforced with organic and inorganic filler.

• It exhibits increased heat resistance, minimal distortion, high surface quality molding and is dishwasher proof.
• It is processed by compression- and injection molding.
• Bakelite® PF 2137 is recommended for iron heat shields and fittings for ovens, dishwashers & toilet seats.

Bakelite® PF 6507 by Bakelite Synthetics is an elastomer-modified, galvanized, phenolic grade reinforced with glass fiber and inorganic filler.

• It exhibits resistance to heat, media and high temperature.
• It offers high dimensional stability at raised temperature, increased temperature stability, high mechanical strength and low shrinkage.
• It is processed by compression- and injection molding.
• Bakelite® PF 6507 is recommended for cooling pumps, solenoid switch covers, magnetic switches, electrical motor end shields, housing parts, pulleys, tension return pulleys, cog wheels, impellers, bearing parts, mechanically and thermally highly stressed parts in automotive construction.

Bakelite® PF 2760 by Bakelite Synthetics is phenolic grade reinforced with organic and inorganic filler. It is free from halogen and toxic heavy metals.

• It exhibits high heat resistance, good mechanical properties, reduced mold shrinkage and post-shrinkage.
• Also, it can be coated by galvanic processes.
• It is processed by compression- and injection molding.
• Bakelite® PF 2760 is recommended for handles, cooking-stove fittings and casings.

Bakelite® PF 2736 by Bakelite Synthetics is phenolic grade reinforced with organic and inorganic filler.

• It exhibits increased tracking resistance, improved electrical properties, low shrinkage and good dimensional stability.
• It is processed by compression- and injection molding.
• Bakelite® PF 2736 is recommended for bobbins, relays, circuit protection switches, MCB housings, pump parts, sealing flanges, insulating caps, electrical switch gears and lampholders.

Bakelite® PF 8052 by Bakelite Synthetics is phenolic grade reinforced with glass fiber and inorganic filler.

• It exhibits excellent surface finish and mechanical properties.
• It offers resistance to high temperatures and heat (upto 285°C).
• It is processed by compression- and injection molding.
• Bakelite® PF 8052 is recommended for pan handles and baking oven rollers.

Bakelite® PF 2874 by Bakelite Synthetics is phenolic grade reinforced with glass fiber and inorganic filler.
