TotalEnergies Carbion increases price for PLA range
Last update on May 7, 2026
Global supply chain disruptions – driven by recent geopolitical events – are translating into direct cost increases for manufacturers sourcing polylactic acid. TotalEnergies Corbion has announced a price adjustment for its Luminy® PLA range, effective 21 April 2026, citing a sharp rise in logistics, international transportation, and energy costs.
According to TotalEnergies Corbion, the company has worked to absorb these cost fluctuations over recent months. The scale of the increases, however, has made a pricing adjustment unavoidable. The supplier states that the measure is intended to allow it to maintain the product quality and service levels its customers rely on.
