Ultra High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE)

OKULEN® OK 2000 - AB - 9950 by Ottensteiner Kunststoff is a water repellent ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade, containing additives. Exhibits excellent anti-microbial protection, measured is 99.99 % against bacteria “Staphylococcus aureus ATCC6538P” and “Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 4352”. OKULEN® OK 2000 - AB - 9950 is recommended for hospital protection boards and food industry. Complies with FDA, BfR, REACH Directive 1907/2006/EC and UL 94 HB Flame Rating.

OKULEN® OKUSLIDE – MC - Black 9390 by Ottensteiner Kunststoff is an excellent lining ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade. Exhibits abrasion resistance, low coefficient of friction, good notched impact strength and excellent sliding properties. OKULEN® OKUSLIDE – MC - Black 9390 is recommended for truck lining, liners for bunker and hoppers. Complies with UL 94 HB Flame Rating.

LUBMER™ LS4140 by Mitsui Chemicals is a ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade. It is a self-lubricating, halogen- and PFOA- free, food contact acceptable grade. Exhibits low friction and good resistance to wear and chemicals including alcohols, alkalis, oils, hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric and phosphoric acid.

• It effectively improves sliding property in low dosage, better than PTFE or molybdenum disulfide.
• It also improves abrasion resistance for higher durability and robust material.
• It is designed for processing by injection molding, extrusion or insert mold for grease-less, light weight gears and bearings.
• Applicable materials for modified LUBMER™ include PA6, PA66, Aromatic PA, POM, PBT, PET, PC, ABS and PPS. Provides low water absorption, good moldability, good dimensional stability and electrical insulating properties, high mechanical properties and innovative processability.
• It contributes to increased production efficiency and total cost reduction in a co-extrusion process.
• Complies with UL 94 HB Flame Rating.
• LUBMER™ LS4140 can be used for the replacement for PTFE or as a tribology modifier of engineering plastics.

LUBMER™ L4000 by Mitsui Chemicals is a noiseless ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade free of halogen and PFOA. Exhibits low friction and good resistance to wear and chemicals including alcohols, alkalis, oils, hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric and phosphoric acid. It is a self-lubricating and food contact acceptable grade with low water absorption. It effectively improves sliding property in low dosage, better than PTFE or molybdenum disulfide. Redco™ UHMW-PE NATURAL VIRGIN by Redwood Plastics is a ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Offers high impact strength, machinability, low surface friction with high wear- and corrosion resistance. It reduces material hang ups and increases material flow. Typical applications include Wear strip, channel, diverter arms, bearing blocks, scraper blades, wear rails, star wheels, chute liners, hopper liners, bunk pads, slider blocks, low pressure gears, light duty pulleys, dock fenders/ pads, metal detector troughs, trimmer lugs, sprockets, conveyor flights, wear shoes/ guides, forklift hose sheaves, skate wheels, rollers, hold down wheels, slides and cutting boards. It is a FDA and USDA approved grade.

PE1000 Dryslide by In2Plastics is a black colored, antistatic, self lubricated, U.V. stabilized, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade. Exhibits low coefficient of friction, excellent wear resistance and good noise absorption. PE1000 Dryslide by In2Plastics is recommended for parcel handling, conveyor parts, wearbends, parcel chutes, linings and wearstrips.

GUR® UHMW-PE 402M13 by Celanese is an ultra-high molecular weight linear polyethylene grade. It offers superior pin puncture strength and balanced processability for 5μm separators in electric vehicles to enhance battery safety and performance for next-generation lithium-ion battery separators (LiBs) technology. GUR® UHMW-PE 402M13 is recommended for automotive applications.

Polystone® M by Rochling Engineered Plastics is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW/PE 1000) grade. Is available in natural, black, green and special colors. Exhibits outstanding sliding properties and excellent performance capability when used at temperatures down to -200°C. Shows low coefficient of friction, high impact strength, no water absorption and self-lubricating properties. Provides high abrasion-, corrosion-, chemical-, stress crack-, dynamic stresses- and wear resistance. Polystone® M is suitable for processing by compression molding. Designed for compression molded sheets, skived sheets, round rods and profiles. Used in chemical engineering, general conveyor technology, chain & cam guidance, general mechanical engineering and food-, bearing-, bottling- and packaging industries. Complies with UL 94 HB flame rating.

OKULEN® OK 1000 FN6000 by Ottensteiner Kunststoff is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade. Complies with FDA, EU regulations, REACH Directive 1907/2006/EC and UL 94 HB Flame Rating.

OKULEN® OK 1000 – AST black 9310 by Ottensteiner Kunststoff is a permanent antistatic and conductive ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade. Is an UV stabilized grade, exhibiting reduction in noise level and excellent wear resistance. OKULEN® OK 1000 – AST black 9310 is used in conveyor and electronic industry. Complies with FDA, EU directive 1935/2004 (EU 10/2011), German BfR – recommendation for “Food industry applications”, Atec-Directive (TUV-Report-no.:09204555068), REACH Directive 1907/2006/EC and UL 94 HB Flame Rating.
