Biography
Tahir is a Science & Innovation leader with experience of working in India, the USA & Europe. He is passionate about sustainability and is currently working as an independent consultant in the area of Circular Economy, helping businesses to transform from linear to circular business models & modify their New Product Introduction Processes to incorporate circularity.
Tahir has a 22-year career background with US multinational 3M and has worked in different functions like Sales, Six Sigma, Product Development, Innovation, and R&D leadership. He, therefore, has broad experience of business & functional operations in a matrix environment. With 3M having 50,000 products & 46 technology platforms, he is knowledgeable in a diverse range of technologies, like microreplication, films, light management, filtration, polymer processing, adhesives & abrasives among others. He has also worked in a variety of markets through applications in areas like Transportation, Traffic Management, Biopharma, Textiles, Worker Safety, Building Materials, and more. In his last role, Tahir was working as Head of R&D and Innovation for 3M in the Benelux region. He also has the experience of building 2 innovation centers in different countries.
Tahir is a Chemical Engineer & MBA by education and is also a Six Sigma-Certified Black Belt. Further, he has done his Accredited Coach Training from MMS Worldwide Institute in Amsterdam.
