Biography
Seongmin (Mike) Sohn currently works at REACH24H KOREA. He is in charge of chemical regulation compliance projects including cosmetics, food and market research in Korea. He has worked as a researcher in Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute, the only government agency that support K-Beauty industry. Also have experiences as a marketer in K-Beauty start-up and also as RA in a pharmaceutical company in Korea.
He is especially a well-known Beauty market analyst in Korea. Over the past years, he has contributed to hundreds of domestic and international interviews, TV programs, magazines and reports as KOL of K-Beauty industry. SPC, one of the most popular beauty industry magazine covers his interviews for major market trends and regulation updates in Korea.
Not a surprise he is being invited for various international events such as in-cosmetics for years as a keynote speaker as well as in US, EU, China, Thailand, Taiwan and other parts of the world. He wrote “K-wave white paper 2018” & “K-wave white paper 2019” as a co-author for K-Beauty industry forecast in consecutive years.
He thinks that perception of its limitation of K-Beauty in global market is normally based on what is being provided by people outside Korea with limited information on the web. So he hopes to seek for more opportunities to talk about K-Beauty and other opportunities in the market.
