Activen SA is a Switzerland-based company, founded in 2011. It is a biotech startup focused on the discovery and commercialization of Miniproteins™ as a new class of active ingredients for the dermo-cosmetic industry. In cosmetics, Activen’s Miniproteins™ are tailored to penetrate the skin and deliver high specificity and potency on molecular targets (e.g., receptors in keratinocytes, fibroblasts, neurons). They currently market two active molecules and run R&D in areas like anti-aging, regenerative dermatology, neuromodulatory cosmetics, and immuno-dermatology. Because production does not rely on classical extraction from plants or animals, Activen offers traceable, scalable, sustainable ingredients for the cosmetics industry.
