Cera Bellina

Polyglycerol-3 Beeswax. Cera Bellina by The Herbarie acts as a thickener and stabilizer. It is a derivative of beeswax where free fatty acids are converted to polyglycerol esters. It exhibits non-ionic emulsifier activity of the polyglycerol esters and provides silky smooth feel. In anhydrous products, it produces remarkably stable and smooth gels with natural oils and butters. It can gel plant and vegetable oils with low percentages. In finished lipsticks, lipbalms, salves, balms, body butters and deodorant sticks, it suppresses fatty alcohol migration and oil sweating. It breaks up pigment agglomerates in color cosmetics and forms a gel network for even distribution of ingredients. Moreover, it inhibits the crystallization in the oil phase and acts as a low HLB co-emulsifier. Cera Bellina finds application in formulating oil based skin care serums & cleansers, balms, body butters, lipsticks, alves, lotion bars, emulsions, foundations, preparations for sensitive skin and after-sun skin care products.
