Cyperus Rotundus Root Extract. Nut Grass Extract-NS by The Garden of Naturalsolution acts as an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial agent. It is an extract of the tubers of nutgran, cyperus rotundus. It contains a-cyperone, coumarins, tannins, flavonoids and sesquiterpenoids as active compounds. It suppresses the production of nitrite (NO) and superoxide. The a-cyperone inhibits PGE2 production by suppressing the expression of inducible COX-2. Nut Grass Extract-NS finds application in formulating cosmetic products.
