Hydrogenated Olive Oil Stearyl Esters. Phytowax® Olive 18L 57 by Sophim is a vegetable-based texturizing agent and emollient wax. It penetrates very easily into the epidermis & helps to nourish the skin. It shows good stability against oxidation and unique sensory properties. It is oil-free, non-greasy and is less occlusive than other waxes. It helps to restore lipids of the skin thanks to their composition in liquid wax-esters similar to stratum corneum. It can enhance the texture, consistency and creaminess of the formulas. It increases the viscosity of the finished product without soap effect. It gives body and structure to formulations while bringing them smoothness, melting effect and pleasure. It is an excellent substitute for animal waxes (beeswax) or petroleum waxes (ozokerit, microcrystallin, paraffin wax). Phytowax® Olive 18L 57 is used in face care, body & hair care and make-up applications. It is approved by COSMOS and China. The shelf life of the product is 2 years.
