Hydrogenated Olive Oil Decyl Esters. Phytowax® Olive 10L 40 BIO by Sophim is an oil-free, vegetable-based emollient and texturing agent. It penetrates very easily into the epidermis & helps to moisturize and nourish the skin. It shows good stability against oxidation and unique sensory properties. It is non-greasy and is less occlusive than other waxes. Offers silky and velvety feel. It helps to restore lipids of the skin thanks to their composition in liquid wax-esters similar to stratum corneum. It melts at 40°C for good balance between consistency and soft spreading. It can enhance the creaminess of the formulas and increases the viscosity of finished product without soap effect. It provides body and structure to the formulations, while bringing them smoothness, melting effect and pleasure. It is an excellent substitute for animal waxes (beeswax) or petroleum waxes (ozokerit, microcrystallin, paraffin wax). Phytowax® Olive 10L 40 BIO is used in make-up, face-, body- and hair care applications. The grade is REACH registered and approved by COSMOS & China. The shelf life of the product is 2 years.
