Silwax® B116

Cetyl Dimethicone. Silwax® B116 by Siltech is a low viscosity, lubricant. The alkyl pendant groups make it compatible with many organic systems. It provides enhanced oil solubility, improved spreadability and a potential SPF boost in sunscreens. This alkylated silicone can be easily incorporated into formulations. It displays reduced sunscreen white-cast rub-out effort, excellent emolliency and barrier properties. It provides gloss and softness to personal care formulations. This ingredient offers thickness, after-feel smoothness & weight, rub-out- & pick-up stickiness and rub-out sliminess. Silwax® B116 is recommended for use in cleansers (foaming), augment moisturizers, lotions, cosmetics, antiperspirants and deodorants. It has a shelf life of 36 months from the date of manufacture.
