Silube® CR-1

Polydecene (and) Cetyldimethicone/Bis-Vinyldimethicone Crosspolymer. Silube® CR-1 by Siltech is a unique cross-linked alkylated silicone. It provides non-volatile, low-flammability and high flash point properties. It is a non-comedogenic grade. It is designed to have feel and drying characteristics similar to volatile silicones. This product is stable over the entire pH range. It exhibits excellent spreadability. It offers excellent lubricity, gloss and emolliency in personal care formulations. It may serve as a replacement for cyclotetrasiloxane (D4) and cyclopentasiloxane (D5) in applications such as antiperspirants, hair shine & styling, moisturizers, lotions and makeup. The alkyl pendant group shows compatibility with many organic systems. It can be blended with various hydrocarbons to produce a product that is more siliphilic and skin feel similar to cyclomethicones. Silube® CR-1 has a shelf life of 36 months when stored in the original, unopened containers between 10 and 40°C.
