Octylacrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer. AMPHOMER® by Nouryon acts as a fixative and film former. It is an exceptionally hard holding, stiff, acrylic polymer that produces a very hard hold and unsurpassed style retention. It can be used at reduced solids to give a soft, natural hold while maintaining good setting properties. It contributes to its excellent humidity resistance, solubility and adhesion. It retains the desired properties of a low molecular weight polymer: fine spray pattern, easy dry comb, good solubility, and shampoo removability. It is highly compatible with hydrocarbon, dimethylether, and hydrofluorocarbon propellants. AMPHOMER® is used in traditional and low VOC aerosol and pump hair sprays, and styling aids such as mousses, gels, creams, pomades, and glues. It offers high curl retention.
