Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer (and) Dimethicone (and) Isohexadecane (and) Cetearyl Methicone. Velvesil™ E-Gel PMF emulsion by Momentive Performance Materials was named Best Sensory Ingredient by Cosmetics Design’s Global Beauty Industry Awards for 2018. It is an elastomer gel emulsion that delivers emollient and cushioning properties and exhibits shear thinning enabling cosmetic products to spread easily during application. It is self-emulsifying in water.
  • It is a multi-functional ingredient that helps to meet the growing market need for water-based formulations that provide the sensory experience of an oil-based formula—namely that smooth, cushioning feel.
  • It is a silicone elastomer gel that swells in the water phase of cosmetic formulations resulting in a refractive index close to that of skin.
  • This soft-focus technology optically blurs wrinkles and smooths the texture and appearance of the skin.
  • Velvesil™ E-Gel PMF emulsion is easy-to-use, cold process-able, and is paraben and MIT-free.
  • Its ideal applications include creams, lotions, masks, serums, and toners; sunscreens and color cosmetics such as foundations and concealers.
