Silicone Quaternium-17 (and) C12-14 Sec-Pareth-5 (and) C12-14 Sec-Pareth-9. Silsoft™ EM 421C emulsion by Momentive Performance Materials is an MIT- and paraben-free conditioning agent. It is ideal for clear shampoos and other haircare products where it provides a high-quality conditioning effect. Silicone Quaternium-17 is known for excellent conditioning and protecting colored or damaged hair, it may improve hair strength and provide heat protection.
  • It is a non-ionic clear microemulsion of medium viscosity, charged alkyl quaternary ammonium polydimethylsiloxane.
  • It is a low viscosity emulsion, easy to blend and pour and exhibits a fine particle size.
  • It is suitable for use in formulations for various hair types.
  • Its effects can be seen at addition levels of between 1.0-4.0%.
  • It is preserved with phenoxyethanol, decylene glycol and caprylyl glycol.
  • It assists in color retention and enhances wet and dry combing.
  • It is also used in conditioners and treatments.
  • The shelf life Silsoft™ EM 421C emulsion is 24 months.
