Glycerin. MICROSPONGE® 5647 by Minerals Technologies is a mixture of 50% methacrylate copolymer and 50% glycerin. It is a highly crosslinked, high molecular weight copolymer of ethylene glycol dimethacrylate and methyl methacrylate. It prolongs humectant qualities and improves skin feel with high glycerine content.
- It is used in O/W system, skin care products, cleansers, hand and body moisturizers, facial treatments, color cosmetics such as foundations and lipsticks.
- MICROSPONGE® 5647 has a shelf life of 18 months.
