Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide MEA. Ceramide PC-104 by Macrocare Tech is a protective and moisturizing agent. It is a synthetic ceramide analog of 1,3-bis(N-2- (hydroxyethyl) palmitoylamino)-2-hydroxy propane, which is obtained from the coupling reaction of N,N’-bis(2- hydroxyethyl)-2-hydroxy-1,3-propane diamine and palmitoyl chloride. It is originated from natural fatty acids. It exhibits lower melting point for easier formulations. It offers moisture retaining & emollient effect, barrier function, rough skin treatment and activates skin function. This ingredient prevents hair loss, promotes hair growth and improves hair & nail function. It also offers anti-wrinkle and anti-dandruff effects. Ceramide PC-104 finds application in skin and hair care formulations.
