Dimethicone PEG-7 Cocoate. SilSense® SW-12 silicone by Lubrizol is a conditioner and slip agent. It is a water-soluble liquid wax, dimethicone copolyol ester that is formed through the esterification of coconut fatty acid with dimethicone copolyol. It does not contribute to greasiness or build-up. It is a co-emulsifier for oil-in-water systems and offers surfactant properties. It can stabilize emulsions, enhances gloss and reduces emulsion particle size. SilSense® SW-12 silicone is used in hair & skin products including creams, body lotions/creams/gels, after-shave balms and gels, shampoos & conditioners.
