SilSense® IWS silicone

Dimethiconol Stearate. SilSense® IWS silicone by Lubrizol is an emollient, pigment dispersant and conditioner. It is a dimethiconol ester of stearic acid. It is produced by the esterification of high purity stearic acid with dimethiconol. It provides conditioning, softening and lubrication properties that are associated with silicones in a form that is non-greasy and easy to emulsify. It offers better coverage, improved moisture retention, excellent skin feel and reduced flaking and bleeding in color products. It is non-irritating to skin & eyes and compatible with pigments and other organics. SilSense® IWS silicone is used in body lotions/creams/gels, color cosmetics and sun care products.
