Merquat™ 281 polymer

Polyquaternium-22. Merquat™ 281 polymer by Lubrizol is a conditioner. It is a low pH, non-preserved, aqueous, cationic polymer with ampholytic characteristics. It provides excellent stability in extreme pH applications. It enables the reduction of ammonia and hair dye levels. It helps to improve the saturation of hair colors, improves the wet combability of hair dyes & provides a smooth, soft feel to hair. This ingredient improves wet & dry combing in shampoo systems. It provides stable, rich and dense foam. Merquat™ 281 polymer is used in ethnic hair care, hair color, depilatories, body wash, conditioners, hand soaps and shampoos.
