Polyhydroxystearic Acid. ALPICARE D 3 by Lamberti is a palm-free, highly effective dispersant of natural origin. It is designed for the manufacture of cosmetics and personal care products such as color cosmetics, or suncare and skincare emulsions with dispersed inorganic suncreens or particles.
  • It is suitable for ultrafine titanium dioxide and zinc oxide or for inorganic pigments, powders and sun filters.
  • When used to disperse mineral UV filters, it can help delivering a more even layer of sunscreens on the skin, effectively enhancing overall SPF protection.
  • It allows higher loading, improved milling and reduced viscosities.
  • It also allows higher concentrations of pigments to be used and potentially improving color coverage.
  • It binds to the surface of inorganic particles, preventing their mutual attraction by steric repulsion, resulting in finer particle size of the dispersion.
  • It can help improving UV absorption while reducing whitening effect during application.
  • It is based on renewable sources and compliant to COSMOS cosmetic standard.
  • ALPICARE D 3 is used in make up applications include lipsticks, foundations, lip glosses and make up pencils etc.
