Bis-PEG-12 Dimethicone Beeswax. Siliconyl Beeswax #163 by Koster Keunen acts as a wax & consistency factor, thickener & stabilizer, film former and emollient. It also acts as a moisturizer, crystallization inhibtor, pigment dispersant aid and sunscreen enhancer. It is a very convenient way to incorporate silicone into formulations. The silicone ester of beeswax eliminates the tendency of blooming in silicone oils, thereby increasing the stability of the formulation. It reduces tackiness and imparts a silky feel to the skin. Siliconyl Beeswax #163 finds application in formulating hair care, lipsticks, creams, lotions, anhydrous gels, make-ups and mascaras.
