SeraSoft® SW 70-A

Stearyl Dimethicone (and) Octadecene. SeraSoft® SW 70-A by KCC Basildon (Momentive) acts as an emollient and SPF booster. It is a soft wax alkylated silicone. The alkyl modification makes it more compatible with organic ingredients. It melts onto the skin at 32°C for an excellent feel whilst improving SPF and spreading of the actives. It provides softness, non-greasiness and generates high gloss & shine due to its high refractive index. Moreover, it promotes lubricity & water barrier properties for the skin and acts as a de-tackifier in creams & lotions. It forms a solid product and has potential pigment spreading and rheology modifying abilities. Furthermore, it offers foam boosting properties in surfactant systems and can be easily incorporated into the oil phase of any emulsion. SeraSoft® SW 70-A finds application in formulating antiperspirants, deodorants, color cosmetics, skincare and sun-care products.
