SeraSilk® EL 74

Dimethicone (and) Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone/Vinyldimethicone Crosspolymer. SeraSilk® EL 74 by KCC Silicone acts as a strong mattifying and texturing agent. It is a mixture of high molecular weight crosslinked silicone elastomer in 5 cSt dimethicone and cyclopentasiloxane. Due to the uniform appearance and excellent storage stability, it does not face discoloration, agglomeration or oil separation. It has an ability to increase formulation oil phase viscosity and produces dry, light and silky skin feel. Moreover, it enhances spreadability and has sebum absorption property, which offers a matte, smooth and non-greasy appearance. It improves water resistance, skin adhesion for actives & pigments and reduces tackiness in formulations. SeraSilk® EL 74 finds application in formulating color cosmetics and skin-, sun-and hair-care products.
