Dimethicone and Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer. SeraSilk® EL 61 by KCC Beauty acts as a strong mattifying and anti-frizz agent. It is a mixture of high molecular weight crosslinked silicone elastomer in non-volatile 6cS dimethicone fluid. It is cold processable and has medium level of cross-linking for enhanced light, silky and powdery feel. Moreover, it has slow sebum absorption property which offers a matte, dry, smooth and non-greasy appearance. It imparts viscosity to W/O emulsions and enhances spreadability & soft-focus effect of the finished product. It improves water resistance, skin adhesion for actives & pigments and reduces tackiness in formulations. SeraSilk® EL 61 finds application in formulating antiperspirants, color cosmetics, skin-care and hair-care products.
